Anna Shusharina, PMHNP
Hello, I’m Anna Shusharina, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I started my journey in healthcare after graduating from Thomas Jefferson University in 2018 as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP), and initially worked as a hospitalist in the Jefferson Health System until 2022. My passion for mental health led me to pursue advanced training, and I completed my Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner degree at La Salle University.
Since then, I’ve worked in various settings, including inpatient psychiatry, outpatient clinics, and addiction medicine. I provide both medication management and therapy, and I’m particularly committed to helping individuals facing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma, burnout, and self-esteem issues. I speak both English and Russian, and strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for all my clients.
I believe deeply in the connection between the mind, body, and soul. My approach to care is integrative—combining evidence-based psychiatric treatment with mindfulness, therapy, and lifestyle guidance. I emphasize the importance of healthy nutrition, physical activity, and emotional balance in supporting mental wellness.
In addition to clinical practice, I mentor and train new nurse practitioners, and I’m currently pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree to continue expanding my knowledge and skills.
On a personal note, I love gardening, being around animals (I share my home with a dog and a cat), and finding serenity in everyday life. I believe that healing starts with feeling seen and heard—and my goal is to walk alongside you in that process with empathy, insight, and care.
